The VSO collaborates with the McAllen Independent School District to perform education concerts each January. The concerts are held at the McAllen Civic Center Auditorium. The 50 minute concerts are designed primarily for children in third through fifth grade. However, the music is enjoyed by students of all ages. Over 8,000 students enjoy these entertaining concerts each season.

Student groups outside of McAllen ISD are encouraged to attend the concerts. TEKS aligned class room materials are provided by the VSO for pre-concert preparation. Seating to the daytime concerts is reserved in group blocks on a first-come, first-served basis. The cost is $3 per student. Reservations can be made through the McAllen ISD Fine Arts Department, 956-618-6085.
